UCLA’s Collegiate a cappella

Scattertones, Scattertones

We are a student-run, co-ed A Cappella group from UCLA! Founded in 2002, we’ve seen generations of amazing musicians come and leave, and they’re all a part of our ScatterFamily.

We’ve sung alongside Taylor Swift, opened for Pentatonix, performed for then-candidate Barack Obama, and won accolades from RARB, CARA, BOCA and ICCA. But we mostly do local gigs in our community to help brighten people’s day. We’d love to work with you too! Click below to contact us, we’d love to hear from you!

We do auditions at the beginning of fall quarter every year. We’d love to see you there! Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions :)

Scroll down to see the history of the Scattertones! There’s a lot of hard work, laughter, and tears behind every picture, and we’d love to share that with you.

Vertigo 2019

Here, we performed at Carnegie Mellon with the talented Nor’Easters, Pitch Slapped, NYU N’Harmonics, and the Originals! Shout out to Ben for being our gracious Pittsburgh host and hopefully our Ben-tacular Ben puns didn’t annoy you too much.

Our site is currently undergoing reconstruction. Don’t worry, there is more ScatterHistory to come!

fun fact!

Although, we’re named the Scattertones, we have no arrangements with actual scatting. This is a problem, and we’re currently working on it.

Come meet us!

About Us

family comes first

Every day, after class, our Vice President Joshua Song beats our Music Director Connor Hahm at video games. It’s really quite embarrassing for Connor, but they’re still friends for some reason. We’re first and foremost a family, and we love each other no matter what.
